The Heathrow Terminal 5 project continues to be held up as an example of what can be done to deliver a complex project on time and to budget. Many have written about the project but a limited few were there and know what actually happened.

This webinar brings together people that contributed to the project's success including team members from the owner, design and construction.

Gary Fischer PPI - Moderator

Simon Murray - BAA Appointed by Sir John Egan to develop the strategy and prepare for the delivery of T5. Has since served on the Board of Directors of several UK infrastructure organizations including the Highways Agency.

David Hall BAA - Architect of the T5 Agreement which formed the basis of thinking related to relational contracts in construction.

Ed McCann - Water Engineering Task Team Leader 1999-2002. Ed is a Past President U.K.’s Institution of Civil Engineers and is the Chair ICE Reservoirs Committee.

Todd Zabelle SPS - member of demand fulfillment team responsible for logistics and production management associated with engineering, fabrication and construction.

Todd is the Founder and President of Strategic Project Solutions, Inc (SPS). Prior to founding SPS, Todd founded Pacific Contracting. Established in 1993, Pacific Contracting was recognized in the mid 90’s for its use of various innovations including Lean Construction and Virtual Design & Construction. In July 1998, these efforts were acknowledged in the UK Government’s Re-Thinking Construction report.

Over the past two decades, Todd has authored numerous papers on the topic of optimizing engineering, fabrication and construction. These papers have been published in various technical journals, presented at numerous conferences around the world and cited by several other authors.

Gary Fischer is the Executive Director of the Project Production Institute (PPI), as well as Chair of the PPI Energy Working Group. Prior to that, Gary spent 40 years in Chevron’s capital projects organization and has held a variety of executive positions, most recently as Special Projects Manager at Chevron Project Resources Company. In that role, Gary was responsible for Chevron’s implementation of Project Production Management and digital transformation on major capital projects.
