About Webinar

The number of Trade Partners far exceeds the number of General Contractors in our Industry yet only 13% of LCI’s 2021 Congress attendees were Trade Partners. Lean Construction emphasizes the importance of value generation and flow on the jobsite. It is the craftspeople within specialty trades that help the GCs be successful in their lean implementation.

In our observations, once the project is complete the Lean Principles and Techniques are rarely carried on to their next non-GC led Lean project or permanently integrated into their internal business processes and approach to work.

1. Why do the number of General Contractor Lean practitioners outnumber the Specialty Trades Lean practitioners by such a large margin?

2. What barriers impact Trade Partner adoption, internalization and use of Lean?

Join the team from the New Orleans Community of Practice (NOLA Lean) and a group of Lean industry leaders in an open forum to discuss and identify practical ways to increase Lean accessibility, adoption and integration by Craftspeople and Trade Partners.

My secondary role as Director of LEAN Improvement for our company continues to reward me daily. While our LEAN journey will never truly come to an end, our successes within our company prove we are on the right track. Our Daily Huddles are more meaningful due to our trade partner involvement...we've made a purposeful effort to teach and coach them on how these huddles can be more beneficial to them. Our trade partners are also becoming more accustomed to the use of iPads in the field - we're assisting them with loading and learning our two most useful programs - BIM360 and RefinemySite scheduling. The days of running back to the job trailer to look at a set of paper plans or a schedule on the wall has come to an end! We are 100% digital on our jobsites!
